    Our Privacy Policy

    Last updated: November 1, 2026

    1. Introduction

Ridgeline Agency LLC ("Ridgeline," "we," "us," or "our") provides customer experience consulting and managed support services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through ridgelineagency.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We have written this in plain language and named the specific companies involved, rather than describing our practices in general terms. If anything here is unclear, please contact us using the details in Section 12.

    2. The Short Version

We think this is the part most people actually want, so we have put it first:

    • We do not sell or share your personal information for money or for cross-context behavioral advertising.
    • We do not run advertising trackers on this website. There is no Google Ads tracking, no Meta/Facebook Pixel, no Google Tag Manager, and no session recording.
    • We use Google Analytics to count visits and enquiries, with Google's advertising features switched off — see Section 5.
    • We use Gojiberry, a visitor-identification tool, to learn which companies and people visit this website so that we can follow up on sales interest — see Section 5.
    • We do not use advertising cookies and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
    • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics does not load at all. Gojiberry still loads.
    • Most of the personal information we hold is information you chose to give us, such as filling in a contact form or booking a call.

    3. Information We Collect

    3.1 Information you give us

When you complete a form, book a meeting, subscribe to our newsletter, use our help desk audit tool, or purchase a service, we collect what you provide. Depending on which of those you use, that may include:

    • Name
    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • Company name and job title
    • Details about your business and what you need help with
    • Anything else you write in a message field
    • Payment and billing information, for paid services

    3.2 Information collected automatically

Like any website, ours receives certain technical information when your browser requests a page. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the page you requested, and the site that referred you. This information is inherent to how the internet works — a server cannot send you a page without knowing where to send it.

We use this information in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and to keep the site secure and working. As described in Section 5, Google Analytics uses a randomly generated identifier, kept in a cookie, to tell a new visit from a returning one; it does not log or store IP addresses.

Gojiberry also receives information about your visit, and uses it to try to identify you or the company you work for. This is not aggregate: it can result in us learning who visited, even if you never contacted us.

    3.3 Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies (named _ga) to count visits; they are not used for advertising, and they are not set if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Gojiberry's script may also store its own identifiers in your browser to recognise you. Beyond that, the only browser storage this site uses is what is strictly necessary to make it function — for example, keeping a member of our team signed in to the administrative area.

    4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

    • Respond to your enquiry and schedule conversations you have asked for
    • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
    • Process payments and send related confirmations
    • Send you our newsletter, if you asked for it
    • Send administrative messages, such as changes to our terms or this policy
    • Understand in aggregate how our website is used
    • Identify companies and people who visit our website, and follow up with those who may be interested in our services
    • Protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access
    • Comply with our legal and tax obligations

    5. Website Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people visit and which pages lead to an enquiry. We have configured it so that:

    • Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, so the data is not used for advertising
    • It records which page you viewed and whether you sent an enquiry or booked a call — never what you typed into a form
    • It does not load at all if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal
    • Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses

You can also block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Google's own policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

    Website visitor identification

We also use Gojiberry to identify visitors to this website, which may include you personally or the company you work for. We use the result for sales follow-up. Gojiberry processes this information on our behalf, and its script loads on every page without asking first, including when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

To ask us to delete anything Gojiberry has identified about you, use the contact details in Section 9.

    6. Who We Share Information With

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate our business, and only for that purpose. They are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes. We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, in response to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights and safety of Ridgeline and others. If we are ever involved in a merger or sale of the business, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

    7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it:

    • Enquiries that do not become clients — up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted
    • Client records — for the duration of our engagement, then up to 7 years to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations
    • Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe
    • Payment records — 7 years, as required for tax purposes
    • Website analytics — Google Analytics keeps visit-level data for up to 14 months, then deletes it

    8. Your Privacy Rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us to do any of the following, and we will honour the request:

    • Know what personal information we hold about you
    • Access a copy of it
    • Correct anything inaccurate
    • Delete it, subject to records we are legally required to keep
    • Withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time
    • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

    8.1 California residents

California law gives residents specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and to limit the use of sensitive personal information.

We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. There is accordingly nothing for you to opt out of — but the access, correction, and deletion rights above are available to you and we will respond to any request within 45 days.

When your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, Google Analytics does not load. Gojiberry still loads, as described in Section 5. We run no advertising tracking.

    8.2 Other states and countries

Residents of Texas, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws — as well as visitors from the EU and UK — have comparable rights. We apply the rights listed above to everyone rather than distinguishing by location.

    9. How to Exercise Your Rights

Email privacy@ridgelineagency.com and tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to verify your identity before acting, which usually means confirming you control the email address associated with the information. We will respond within 45 days. There is no charge, and you are welcome to use an authorised agent.

    10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls on our systems, and limiting staff access to what each person needs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    11. Additional Details

    11.1 International transfers

Ridgeline is based in the United States and our team members work in several countries. Your information may be stored or processed in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws.

    11.2 Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.

    11.3 Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you directly. We encourage you to check back periodically.
