The weekend was the easy part

    1. Week 1

You build it in a weekend and cancel the $1,000-a-month tool it replaces. That's $12,000 a year back.

    2. Month 2

Five people use it every day. Someone asks for one small change.

    3. Month 5

A package update breaks sign-in on a Tuesday. Your afternoon goes to fixing it.

    4. Month 9

It holds real customer data, it's getting slow, and you can't remember how half of it works.

By then, you've built six more.

That $1,000 a month was paying for more than software

A software company spreads this work across thousands of customers. Replace it with something you built, and the whole list lands on one person, usually whoever built the tool.

None of that appears on a bill, which is why it's easy to miss. It comes out of the work that person was hired to do.

Cutting the tool can still be the right call. Someone just has to take the list.

Replies on X, Oct 30, 2026. Mike Taylor (@hammer_mt): Why do you need any maintenance time if you're using the tool? Just tell Claude whenever you notice something off, it's done in a few minutes. Klaas (@forgebitz): shit gets complex ones you add people and scale (always has been).

Can't I just tell Claude to fix it?

For a small fix on a tool only you use, yes. Keep doing that. We use Claude every day too.

It gets complex once you add people and scale. Claude answers the question you ask. Someone still has to notice the problem, know what to ask, check that the fix didn't break the way your team works, and be around when it fails on a Friday night.

That's the job we take on.

We pick up when you call. We also call first.

All of this sits inside one retainer, shared across every tool you have.

    When you call

Message us about anything, at any size.

    • “Something's broken.”

We find it and fix it.

    • “Can it also do this?”

      We make the change.

    • “I have an idea.”

We'll tell you if it's worth building, and how.

    • “It's down and people are waiting.”

Emergencies go to the front of the line.

    While you work

We keep checking your tools, whether or not anyone has complained.

    • Errors, failed jobs, and flows that quietly stopped working
    • Pages and queries that are getting slower
    • Whether each tool is up and answering
    • AI and hosting bills that start to climb

    Before you ask

We reach out when we see something you should know about.

    • Security vulnerabilities in your tools and the packages they depend on
    • New ideas for what your tools could do next
    • New models and features worth switching to
    • Small improvements that add up month after month

What 10 hours can look like

If people rely on it, we'll look after it

    • Internal dashboards and admin tools

    • Customer portals and small web apps

    • Automations and integrations

    • AI agents, chatbots, and MCP servers

    • Reports and data pipelines

Built with Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, Replit, Bolt, v0, n8n, Zapier, or a mix of them. If it's in a repository or a builder we can log in to, we can work on it.

Ten hours a month keeps tools healthy and improving. A big new build is a separate project, and we'd quote it separately.

We live with this too. The website you're reading was built in Lovable, and we maintain it with Claude Code.

    How it starts

    1. 1

      Show us what you've built

On a free call, walk us through your tools and who relies on them.

    2. 2

      We take inventory

You give us access. We write down what each tool does and where it runs, then set up monitoring.

    3. 3

      Your 10 hours start

You get a direct line to our team in Slack. We watch your tools and bring you ideas, and you get back to your own work.

    Questions people ask

    Tell us what you've built

Pick a time and walk us through your tools, including the ones you've stopped opening. 30 minutes on Google Meet, with no commitment.
